Working in ArcGIS Explorer Desktop 1500.

I inserted two SHP files and a SID and they all lined up.
Inserted several Orthophoto TIF files and they show up halfway around the world.
Have the TIF, TFW and AUX files.

My source for these files is using ArgGIS Desktop and found the checkbox to "Use World File ...."
I have not been able to find this checkbox in Explorer.

Did you georeference TIFFs yourself?

ArcGIS Explorer should open georeferenced files by default. No special checkbox is needed.

No, the people who created the SHP file did the work.
See attached screen shots.

Ron,

looks like coordinate system is incorrect on the OrthoPhoto. The AUX file specifies the coordinate system. TFW contains data for affine transformation.

There is an add-in for AGX that you can try to use to georeference TIFF images:

here is the tutorial:

If the sid images are displaying in the correct location in ArcMap you can use ArcToolBox to define a coordinate system for the sid.

ArcGIS Explorer needs all data to have a defined coordinate system in order to display it.

I am having a similar issue with geotiff files not deplaying in the proper location in Build 1750.  I am attempting to add orthophotography as well as shapefiles to the map.  The shapefiles are displayed in the correct location but the tiffs are not.  Both the shapefiles and the georeferenced tiff files use the same projection.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I have been wrestling with this for months now.
