Hi, I'm looking for ideas or solutions to monitor in real time, ground based agricultural water application from a tractor with gps/rtk.
We are simply looking for a way monitor if any areas have not been watered.
My thought was to see if there was a way we could assign a buffer or thickness to a track line that would represent the sprayer boom width. If the line was able to have some transparency a driver could manually adjust their route to make sure there was some overlap between tracks.
In the lab we have ArcInfo but in the field we wouldn't have access to Info or internet. It would be nice if a back ground image could be used as a basemap even if internet wasn't available.
Any thoughts?
