I really need the ObjectID field to display when a user clicks on a point feature in ArcGIS Explorer, apparently it's automatically shutoff/not displayed? How can this be fixed? I've tried exporting layer packages and .shp files from my geodatabase using various options and still does not display. Any ideas? Thanks.

You are correct it is automatically hidden along with the geometry field.  Why do your users need to see the ObjectID?  This is something we could look into getting changed for a future release.

Thanks,
Mark

In some cases, the ObjectID is used as a unique identifier - maybe in a perfect world it shouldn't be, but sometimes it just is.Users of the data often reference this field to identify particular features that needs to be modified. Without creating more work for myself, this is quick and painless method for giving people one field to identify a specific object.

In any case, I can't see any harm in letting users choose to hide or display this (and other) similar fields - for example Shape_Length would be useful as well. It would be great if this was included in a future release. Thanks.
