Local content in ArcGis Explorer Online?

I have seen nothing in help or vids that addresses all the local content we may have that needs to be added to an Online map for sharing with customers. I have a bunch of content from several Forest Service data sets in the form of shape files and .tiff image files and am wondering, is this content unavailable ?

ArcGIS Explorer Online does not support adding/viewing local content such as shapefiles, image files, etc.
