Hey folks,

I'm trying to export a file from Arcmap 9.0 to Illustrator CS6 that contains ESRI Geology symbols (strike and dip).  When I export the file however, the bedding symbols do not display properly in Illustrator.  I've tried downloading the FGDC symbol sets from the USGS, but no luck.  I'm wondering if anyone out there might have a fix.

Is there a specific ESRI font set for Mac so that Illustrator can properly interpret the fonts that are embedded in the ArcGIS file that comes over when you export an Illustrator file from within Arc?  I havent had this issue when I export within a PC, but its when I attempt to export from PC and then use the illlustrator file on a Mac.

Many thanks,
Thomas

Have you tried exporting to PDF with settings chosen to embed the fonts? Maybe the PDF could substitute for the AI file?

I have not tried to install Windows fonts on a Mac. Not sure if it is possible.
