I am calculating areas and volumes for irregular rasters (clipped with a mask) by using the function "Area/Volume" placed in 3D Analyst tools. I am interested in knowing a estimation of the error I am assuming. (For example, when calculating the area for a 3x3m grid you get 4 square meters)
Is there any known bias for this type of calculation? Any publication or documentation where I can find information about it?
