I create a .lyr or .lpk in ArcMap Desktop Evaluation Edition 9.3.1 (Build 4000) and then when I try to import it into ArcGIS Explorer Desktop (build 1500), Explorer hangs indefinitely.  I have to force ArcGIS Explorer to quit.  I checked my system requirements and my system meets or exceeds all of the recommended requirements, and I have few problems other than trying to import the .lyr and .lpk files.

Anyone else have the same problem?

Anyone have this problem and figure out a solution?

Does this occur with all layer packages or is it specific to particular one?

If you open this layer package in ArcGIS Explorer does it work? or does ArcGIS Explorer still hang?

I have a similar issue. When I try to load a LPK file either supplied or generated from ARCGIS V10, the same error occurs....Invalid File. I have as my Basemap Boundaries and Places. Is there an error log to better identify the source of the problem. This same LPK file will load just fine when opened from Windows Explorer. I have build 1200, Vista Home Premium 64bit. This same error occurs on the 32bit version on my laptop.
