Received notice today that ArcGIS Desktop will be fully retired on March 1, 2026, will you still be able to use desktop after that date? Does this just mean there will be no support for the product?

Are there specific reasons you want/need to use ArcGIS Desktop past that date, as opposed to using ArcGIS Pro?
I have already gone over to ArcPro and I love it but a co-worker does not want to switch he feels he is to busy to learn Pro. I've tried to explain that once he switches he will really like Pro and gave him the books I had ordered to help me switch but he feels it will take to much time that he does not have. I will send him the resources you shared and hopefully they will help motivate him to make the move. But bottom line is we will have access to Desktop after March 2026 but there will be no support...correct?
That's correct to a certain extent. This whitepaper on the Esri Product Life Cycle Support Policy outlines the what the "retired" phase for ArcGIS Desktop looks like on page 10.
