Symbology of web map overrides attribute value in text widget

Its unclear to me if the following is expected behavior for Experience Builder.  I created a web map where I symbolized on an attribute called marker issues.  I applied a label for some merged symbology values.  When I use that map in experience builder, the text widget is picking up that label structure rather than the actual value.  I have attached a screen grab showing a selected point on the map.  The legend and Text box display the same "something not on site".  However, the map label, the feature info widget, the table widget, and the map pop up display the actual attribute value of "Missing".   Thanks for looking.
