Map no longer zooms and pans to a point when selected/clicked on the map

Hi there,

I might be completely losing my mind, but did the most recent update change the message actions available on the Map widget?

I could have sworn that there was an ability to have the map zoom into a point feature when it is selected/clicked on by a user. For example, if I had a map of the US with points representing shopping centers, if a user clicked on a point, it would zoom into that feature. However, for the life of me, I can't find this option in the Map widget settings or actions. I'm sure I'm missing it and it's in front of my face, but would appreciate any pointers. Thanks!

Hello @DaveL

Automatically zooming every time a feature is clicked could cause the map to move in ways the user didn’t intend and interrupt normal exploration. Zooming is handled through more deliberate interactions. Experience Builder already supports this in a few ways, for example:* Click a point on the map and zoom to the feature using the pop‑up
* Select a feature from a table or list and zoom to it — this can be set up to happen automatically using widget actions
* Select features using the Select widget and zoom to the selection — this can also be configured as a default behaviour using actions

These approaches allow zooming to happen automatically when appropriate, while still keeping map clicks predictable and user‑controlled.

I know this is an older topic, but I'm still wrestling with this... is there not a way to set the map widget so that if a user clicks/selects a pin on the map, it zooms into that point? It seems like really basic functionality for the UI, so I feel like I have to be missing something here.

The 'Zoom to' action is also available in other widget Action configurations, such as Filter, Table and Search.
