I'm working on a project where I need to have some functionality that doesn't really have a front-end part, just does some things in the background and will provide some data to other widgets.
How can I include this type of widget in an ExB app so it loads on start? (from the ExB designer the only option is to drag-and-drop, but there is no UI aspect to this).
Is there a different type of component that's not a "widget" that would be more appropriate?
Any suggestions on patterns or the appropriate way to do this will be appreciated!
