How to add an Organization's Domain Name to the URL of an ArcGIS Experience App?

Hello. I have a quick question. Is it possible to add an organization's domain name to the URL that is used to access a ArcGIS Experience web application instead of having the URL in the picture below? If it is not currently possible, when is it expected that this feature will be added? Thanks in advance and please do not hesitate to let me know if I can provide any additional information that might help.

Hi Nico,

Currently, we assign the URL with the domain name experience.arcgis.com. However, it would be ideal if you could create your own URL. I will add that to our enhancement list.

We have the same question and have noticed your answer in April 2020 : is it possible 11 monthts later or do you know if this will be soon possible ? We are looking forward for this possibility : Experience Builder is a great ESRI tool and I thank you for it. The GIS Team uses it in Portal for our private users (civil servants and local authorities) and we would like to use for the citizen of our county.

Thanks for touching base and for the comments about Experience Builder. Regarding your question about supporting custom domains, we have it on our enhancement list for consideration, but beyond that, this is all we know at this point.

Our organization needs this as well. Not only for proper branding, but for content security via whitelisting. If you add experience.arcgis.com as a whitelisted referrer URL for a secured service, ANY experience app can access it. And with Safari and perhaps other browsers now only allowing you to whitelist domain and subdomains, rather than specific app URLs, this situation limits our ability to use ExB.

We are also in the boat of needing this like today. We build many internal apps and would like to place all links on a SharePoint page but for those not already logged into AGOL, they do not get our login page rather they need to know the org URL to type in, which is not very user friendly and not helping in our transition away from Web AppBuilder.

We would love this too. We have had some residents express concern if they should click on experience builder links in emails and on social media because they don't have the county name in them anywhere.

It sounds like it was added to the enhancement list in April 2020. Can anyone at Esri share where this is on the road map?

Just wanted to update this thread with a workaround that we are using. Our issue was that internal users were having issues logging in since it wasn't prompting them for our organization's login when they clicked the basic Experience Builder link. We found that if you add /org=orgshortname to the end of the link this solved our issues.

After 6 years, there appears to be no progress on this. When will this be fixed?

It is a serious problem that it is impossible to share EB links with our internal users, because if they are not already signed into AGOL, they cannot sign in via these generic EB links and they give up trying to use the EB app. This is causing serious headaches!

The work around is to provide them with a ridiculous set of instructions to go to the organisational AGOL home page, then sign in, then close it (doh!), then click on the EB link that we sent. That's just nuts!

PS. Note that the @MelissaNorthey work-around (above) is not quite correct... it should be "?org=orgshortname" (with "?" not "/"). I've just tried this and found that it works. Great. But surely ESRI can do better than this?

Come on ESRI, this is not rocket science!
