Buffer does not draw on map for spatial query with query widget

Hello, my end users are having a hard time trusting the results from the Query Widget spatial buffer because it doesn't appear in the map. I think this is a big issue. When creating a spatial query with buffer ad selecting features from a layer, the buffer will not draw on the map (assuring my end users of the accuracy of the query), whereas if they draw a point on the map for the same spatial query (draw geometry on map), the buffer DOES appear. Can we get this fixed so that the buffer draws regardless of the 'filter type'?

No buffer shown on the map when selecting geometries from the map:

Buffer shown on the map when drawing a point:

I highly recommend using the Near Me tool instead of the Query Tool.
You can access it here: DeSoto County Web Map

To use it:

  • Type in an address, for example: 365 Losher St.

  • Then, open the Nearby tab (that's what we named it).

  • Give it a second — it will display a buffer around the location and show the selected features.

You can also draw directly on the map, and it will work the same way.
