A preview of the new features in Experience Builder for the June release of ArcGIS Online, which is scheduled to be available in late June 2025.

We'd like to highlight support for authoring Arcade expressions. In addition, the Emergency Response Guide web tool is now available, which substitutes the Emergency Response Guide widget from Web AppBuilder.

I'm so happy to see that export to shapefile will soon be an option - thank you!

Hi @Jianxia ,

Thanks for update, very useful and great effort from the Esri team!

Quick couple of questions on the “change the symbology of layers added at runtime” point:

- Will we be able to update the symbology of individual features (individual points or lines) within a layer? (Ex: A layer contains multiple polylines and I would need each of them to have a different symbology)

- Our organization uses its own custom points and lines symbology published and setup in our organization settings as a “2D web styles group”. Will we be able to pull the custom points and lines symbology from our own web styles group?

Hoping that this is an easy “yes to both” here.

Very much looking forward to the June 2025 update! Thanks.

Exited to let users change the symbology after using the Add Data button!

-Batch editing and shapefile export are fantastic too.

Thanks ExB team.

Hi @Jianxia any date of availability of this new features ?

And for a 1.18 dev edition ?

Thanks 🙂

I'm really curious and excited to learn more about Arcade support!

@BobLoblaw, Support for changing symbology of runtime layers is limited to simple symbol so the answer is "no to both" unfortunately. We would recommend submitting an enhancement to Esri Support or an idea to the Idea site.

@JasonBOCQUET, You will see the updates from ArcGIS Online June release on June 26. And the developer edition 1.18 is scheduled for July 23.

@Jianxia thanks for adding the draw widget with freehand etc in EB, it appears that the undo / redo buttons do not work. They are highlighted when drawing but disabled when mouse up finished drawing.

Snip of whilst drawing undo is visible:

@Jianxia  You mention now exporting data to more formats including shapefile, geodatabase and kml.  Is this accessible from the Actions button, not a widget?  Also does the user type need to be at minimum a Creator to access their own AGOL content?  And last but not least, does this use credits?  Thanks!

Very happy to have batch editing enabled now. Will immediately apply this to a project.

Thank you for export to shapefile, file geodatabase, and KML!

@kevin_lawler21, These new formats (Shapefile, FGDB, KML) are accessible through the Export data action in widgets like Table, List, etc. When exporting all data to these new formats, no credentials are required, and files will be downloaded directly to your computer. However, if you export selected data, you need to have a user type that grants you the privileges to create content. This process first involves creating an item in your ArcGIS account, followed by downloading the files to your computer. This process should not consume any credits.

@PaulStanway2, thank you for letting us know. Cc to @ShenZhang1

@PaulStanway2 The undo/redo buttons work only while drawing the graphics, not after they have been drawn. These buttons are useful for the polyline/polygon tools when you would like the previous vertices to be modified, but not so much for the freehand tools, just like you mentioned that you will never have a chance to click on these tools before mouse up.

We'll see if we can further enhance the workflow. Thank you!

I am very grateful to have batch editing. But I am a little sad that this is only available if it is used with a map. We have lots of data that only needs a table and an editor to correct attributes.

@vic7oria, Thank you for letting us know. We are working on support for batch attribute editing in the Edit widget with "Attribute only". Will that work for you?

@Jianxia That would be very useful to our team. Thank you!

@JianxiaThank you for your response, much appreciated and I can now see this in the June 2025 ExB release indeed. Tremendous update and kudos to the team!

We are in active discussion with our Esri Lead Account Executive & SE Team Lead about these extra last symbology features tweaks we would need added if possible. The June 2025 update brings us extremely close to what we ultimately need. Probably some ExB symbology features tweaks that would benefit others as well per some users posts I came across. The team is investigating the best way forward for us which may end up in an enhancement request indeed. I remain available to discuss this further in more details separately if needed. Thank you very much!

@Jianxia It is very disappointing that batch editing is not available for attribute only.  This was the last piece that I needed in order to migrate off Web App Builder.  Now I am still stuck there.  I cannot give my end users the chance to move, or worse yet, delete data accidentally.  I need my end users to be able to make batch attribute edits only.  Is there an estimate for when this will be ready?  Thanks.

@JimW , Thanks for your feedback. Currently it is planned for Q4 of the year.
