Hello All,

My question is that: On my ArcGIS Earth App, I can access the data from Living Atlas, but when I use my own data published on my own portal, the App showing, "Unable to Access Data"? Can someone help me with this?

Thanks,

Rauf

Interesting.  Okay try a few things listed here and let me know what you discover:

  1. Download Explorer for ArcGIS on your iPhone, log into your Portal in the app and see if you can access the web layers.  What is the result?
  2. Do you have the ability to VPN through your iPhone?  Log into your VPN app first (i.e. PulseSecure for example), then return back to ArcGIS Earth and try to access your web layers.  What is the result?

Great suggestions! I will try them now!

Unfortunately, I was not able to access both apps! The first one (Explorer

For ArcGIS) is showing: "The server is using an untrusted certificate"! The

second app (Pulse Secure) is showing: "The server is not responding."

In chatting with one of our ArcGIS Enterprise instructors, she's seen this before!  She said it sounds like a certificate issue either not being on the iPhone or the certificate configuration on your Portal is not correct.  She provided the following URL to use to troubleshoot - https://community.esri.com/thread/203945-collector-for-arcgis-the-server-you-are-trying-to-connect-c...

Thanks a lot, Robert, for this great information! If I fix the issue, I

will let you know!

Hello Robert,

This is Rauf again. On my ArcGIS portal, I am using a hostname and an IP

address to log into the portal and access the data. I fixed the certificate

and I have a trusted certificate for the hostname on my computer. Whereas,

for the IP, the certificate is not trusted. On any computer, when I use the

hostname (Trusted Certificate), all the published maps and features are

working fine with no errors! Meanwhile, when I access the portal using an

IP address (untrusted certificate), and when I try to open the published

maps and features, the portal showing an error "Unable to Access the Data."

In the case of IPhone (any cellphone), I have only one way to access the

portal and that is through the IP address, which always showing me "unable

to access the data!" I contacted the IT Staff at our University to see why

cannot I access the Portal using the hostname when I use my cellphone. So,

I think and as you said that once I fix the certificate issue, the ArcGIS

Earth will work fine on the IPhone and will be able to access the data.

Thanks again for the assistance,

Rauf
