KML files drawn in ArcGIS Earth supports labeling

Labeling in ArcGIS Earth is not supported for the KML format. (https://doc.arcgis.com/fr/arcgis-earth/use/apply-label.htm).

Activation is sometimes possible, but problems arise with the layout tool: the label disappears below the background layer. (photo1 : View in ArcGIS Earth with labels - photo 2 : Labels disappear from the layout)

Please add the ability to use labels with KML files drawn in ArcGIS Earth.

In the KML format, you can only apply labels for points. The dev team did a nice job developing a functionality to add labels for KML lines and polygons inside ArcGIS Earth (you still won’t find this in Google Earth). But you did find a bug : the disappearing of the labels under the terrain in the Export view.

Here is a workaround : turn off the Terrain3D elevation service in the Terrain menu :

Your labels will be visible in Export 🙂
