The section below list known issues of ArcGIS Earth V1.6.1 (Build number: 1808).
1. Measure
- The measurement is wrong when drawing polygon and circle across the 180°W/E longitude line.
2. KML layers
- When export drawing point to KMZ, the text label sizes may not exactly as sized in Earth when drawn, and the label will conflict with drawings.
- Saving drawings as KMZ can’t remember polygon orders in Table of Contents.
- ArcGIS Earth didn’t support labels with some Asian characters.
3. Draw
- The upper/lower vowel of Thai characters disappears in the label of draw point.
- The custom icon can’t be previewed in the placemark edit panel if there is a space in the name of this picture.
4. CSV/TXT
- The records will be lost if the field of the text file ends with commas when adding to ArcGIS Earth.
- The CSV/TXT file can’t be added in ArcGIS Earth with HTTP protocol.
5. Vector Tile Basemap
- The vector tile layer is not supported in ArcGIS Earth. If the basemap includes the vector tile layer, then it will be discarded.
6. Pop-up window
- Only one point pop-up window can be invoked if there are many points in the same place.
7. 3D Effects
- Elevation exaggeration is applied to extruded polygon and terrain measurement.
8. Tile Layer
- Tile package disappears in TOC after changing the spatial reference.
9. Eyedropper
- ArcGIS Earth will crash by pressing Esc key when using the eyedropper.
Notes:
- If you get proxy authentication error message, please try to open AGOL from IE to check if it works. ArcGIS Earth uses the default Internet Settings (IE) proxy, so if it works fine from Internet Explorer on the server, it should be OK from ArcGIS Earth as well.
- If you get black screen issue, please check whether your computer meets the requirements, especially at your graphics card and DirectX version.
- If you get messy basemap imagery issue, please check the proxy and firewall on your computer.
- If you can’t launch ArcGIS Earth after a while of use, please make a copy of your current workspace and then clear it.
