How will Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) in Azure, reportedly due out in Q1 of 2019, impact plans regarding choices for the virtualization of ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro in the cloud? According to this article, WVD will be a better Windows 10 desktop choice than Windows 10 in an “Amazon Workspace.” What other considerations should be factored into one’s decisions regarding this effort? Would ArcGIS in WVD require the Teradici Cloud Access software or some other client/cloud technology (Citrix)?
