We're planning to change RAM on our servers which are virtual machines. We have four types of changes planned.
1. Increase RAM on Server 1. This server has ArcGIS Desktop installed and is authorized using single-use license. Also, Portal for ArcGIS is installed on this server.
2. Increase RAM on Server 2. This server has ArcGIS Server installed and authorized.
3. Server 3 - Same as point 1 above but here RAM will be decreased.
4. Server 4 - Same as point 2 above but here RAM will be decreased.
My question is will increasing or decreasing RAM on these servers have any impact on functioning of ArcGIS Desktop, Portal and Server and also their respective licenses? Is there any need to de-authorize the licenses or even uninstall the products before changing RAM size?
The version is 10.7.1 on Windows 2016.
