Can't print from ArcMap 10.2.2 to my old HP DesignJet 1050c Plus plotter

I know, I know... get a new plotter, right? But seriously, since I got my 64 bit Win7 machine, running ArcMap 10.2.2, I can't print to the plotter from the application. I can print from other applications (MS Publisher, Powerpoint...) just fine, just not from ArcMap. Tried to update the drivers, firmware to the plotter. Could find any knowledge-base from either ESRI or HP on this. Any help?
