Separating Search Bar from Scalebar in ArcGIS Dashboards

Hi everyone,
I’m working on a map in ArcGIS Dashboards, and I’m running into an issue with the Search bar placement. When I configure the map settings, the Search bar appears grouped with the Scalebar and other tools. However, I’d like to separate the Search bar to make it a standalone element for better visibility and usability.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  1. I enabled the Search option in the map’s settings (via the Dashboard).
  2. Adjusted the General, Map actions, and Layer actions settings, but couldn’t find a way to move the Search bar out of the Scalebar grouping.
  3. Looked for a way to add a separate search widget in the Dashboard, but couldn’t locate one (I only see options like Legend, Filters, etc.).

Ideally, I’d like the Search bar to be displayed either independently at the top of the map or as a separate tool that isn’t tied to the Scalebar. In the screenshot I attached you can see the dropdown menu of it as well.

If anyone has experience with customizing tool placement in Dashboards or knows a workaround, I’d greatly appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance for your help!

Unfortunately this is one of those things that ESRI decided to change that I don't think provides any great advantage or utility and not provide any options, you're kind of stuck with how the tools selected in your configuration are packaged together as far as I can tell. This is a recent change, and confused several of my end users who thought the map tools in the dashboards I've set up were removed. You have a little more flexibility with some of this in using Experience Builder but that's another kind of pain in the butt if you are really wanting to work with dashboards. Depending on the functionality you are looking for, some of the widgets offer a separate search bar that appear in them, but those searches are really focused on what is in widget, such as a list.
