Outline color in custom theme disappears for grouped indicators in dashboards.

Hi everyone,

I have noticed that when setting the outline color in Custom Theme in a dashboard, when I set the color and view it in edit mode, it displays correctly however, when I save it and view it (not in edit mode), the outline will disappear for grouped indicators. The outline color will appear correctly everywhere but the grouped indicators. A colleague is having the same issue on another dashboard hosted on a separate ArcGIS Online account.

I’ve run into this same issue when customizing themes—outline colors sometimes vanish if the group layer inherits styling inconsistently. Checking symbol overrides in the web map or resetting layer symbology usually helps. It also seems related to how ArcGIS handles JSON exports of themes, so reapplying the color manually after saving often fixes it.
