I am proposing a set of enhancements for the ArcGIS connectors within Power Automate to elevate their capabilities in handling more complex geometry and reprojection transformations/creation. Here’s a detailed outline:
Advanced Geometry Creation:
- Extend support to include line and polygon geometry creation within Power Automate workflows.
- Integrate the functionality to parse and output geometries in formats like WKT and GeoJSON, enabling extensive flexibility in data management.
Reprojection Transformation:
- Implement processes that facilitate reprojection of geographic data from LL84 to UTM and other coordinate systems directly through the connector.
- Automate the system's ability to manual/auto identify the original coordinate system of input data, and enable users to select an output coordinate system.
- Such features would enhance data handling capabilities, particularly for applications like Survey123 storing data in LL84 and requiring transformation to other systems.
These enhancements are crucial for users managing geographic data across varied systems and needing efficient automation for their spatial data workflows. By enabling these capabilities, ArcGIS can provide more robust data processing solutions and enhance integration with Microsoft Power Automate!
