GNSS/GPS tracklogs have a wide variety of uses. One common use is to use GNSS/GPS tracklogs for storing metadata regarding GNSS/GPS information. Another common use is simply having a geographic record (i.e., the "breadcrumb" trail) of where a mobile device was used.
Add the ability to store GNSS/GPS tracklogs for an ArcPad project directly into an AXF database. Currently, GNSS/GPS tracklogs can only be stored as shapefiles which causes the inability to check data for GNSS/GPS tracklogs back in to a target geodatabase.
Having the ability to check GNSS/GPS tracklogs in would eliminate having to use traditional copy/paste from a mobile device, building an empty feature class in the target geodatabase, then using the simple data loader in ArcCatalog to import GNSS/GPS tracklog shapefiles.

This could be accomplished by a GIS data steward creating an "empty" GNSS/GPS tracklog feature class in the database schema prior to check-out. Or by having the ArcPad Data Manager create an empty feature class when performing a check-out. An ArcPad user would then need the ability to instruct ArcPad to store GNSS/GPS tracklog information in the corresponding AXF feature class.
