Due to some limitations, I can only use Houdini18.0.416 now. I want to use Palladio as new as possible in this version. I tried to build it myself but failed. Can you give me more guidance
I can now use Palladio1.7, but the time difference between it and the latest version is too long. I need to achieve maximum performance and stability when using it

Hi biaozeng!
We nolonger support Houdini 18.0 or older. If you want to make your own build, make sure to follow the developer setup guide step by step (https://github.com/Esri/palladio#developer-manual). One common mistake is that you need to make sure you set the build mode to Release or RelWithDebInfo when you build it.
Hi,
unfortunately, the last release which officially supported Houdini 18.0 was Palladio 1.9
What kind of error do you get?
Best,
Simon
Theoretically Backporting Palladio 2.0 to Houdini 18.0 is possible but not quick, you would need to re-introduce support for 18.0 in the CMake and Conan files. There might also be a few small HDK API changes.
Maybe the problems you had with 1.7 have been fixed in Palladio 1.9? Please note, Palladio 1.9 only understands RPK from CityEngine 2020.1 and older.

According to the development guidelines, can I theoretically build Palladio v2 versions for Houdini18, or will they never be compatible?
Many errors were discovered during the use of Palladio1.7 today, but they are not present in the new version
