Searching for a locale/setting the map extent

Hi all-

I was recently being trained in Business Analyst for my job, and I remember there was a way to enter a city in some sort of search bar, and then the map would automatically zoom there and it would set the map extent accordingly (rather than having to zoom in manually to the point of interest).  Unfortunately, I can't remember how to do this now.  Does anyone know where this feature is in business analyst?

Thanks!

Hi Starr,

If you are looking for the Search options in the Business Analyst Web App, please review this help documentation: Search—Business Analyst Web App | ArcGIS. It describes various search options to zoom the map to specific locations.

Thank you for exploring Business Analyst.

Thank you,

Praveen

I’m actually wondering how to do it in desktop version. Can you please point me in the right direction? Thanks.

In ArcMap for Desktop, using the Business Analyst toolbar...

The second option is "Set Analysis Extent">from there you can "jump to location"

You can also create a "Study Area" (first option in the toolbar) OR use the Trade Area wizard>create new Trade Area>Standard Geographies
