Hello, I'm looking for a pre-built infographic template that utilizes the Crime variables in Esri Business Analyst to provide a "safety overview". Can anyone offer suggestions on where to find one?

Thanks in advance!

Hello @ChrisMyers_NewQuest,

My recommendation is to start with one of the Standard templates and then simply swap it with the variables you need. For example, I created this one starting with the At Risk Population template.

  • Replaced the variables to crime and removed the elements I don't need
  • Change the theme
  • Updated the title

You can create charts, infographic panels and tables with the crime index variables.

I hope this helps,

Fasil T.

Thanks Fasil! Appreciate the information. A few follow-up questions:

- What's the best way for me to share an infographic template that I create with members outside of my organization?

- What is the reason that the AGS crime data is not available for historical years? The methodology document mentions that they produce a seven-year time series.

Thanks again for the response.

Best,

Hi Chris,

You have so many options when sharing your infographics with others. You can decide on the format depending on the end-user experience you want:

For example, if your infographic is interactive with additional variables and map, you might want to use dynamic HTML export, or share it in dashboard or storymap. The PDF, Excel, Image and Print options can be used for static output.

Our data team is continuously working hard to provide historical data for key categories in the app. So far we added historical data for population, households, and housing. My recommendation for now is to use the data source selector if you are looking for some historical crime data for 2022 and 2021 for comparison.
