The release of ArcGIS Pro 3.5 for ArcGIS Aviation Charting and ArcGIS Aviation Airports includes enhanced tools to further support your airport, charting, data management, migration, and design needs. This blog article contains more information about these updates.

New tool

The following ArcGIS Aviation Airports tool has been added to the Heliport Obstruction Identification Surfaces toolset:

UFC Heliport

The UFC Heliport tool creates obstruction identification surfaces (OIS) per the Helipad Surface specification of the UFC 3-260-01 Section 4.4 HELIPADS, prescribed by MIL-STD 3007. These surfaces provide planning, design, construction, sustainment, restoration, and modernization criteria for the United States Department of Defense. Surfaces are created as polygon or multipatch features.

Enhanced tools

The following ArcGIS Aviation Charting tools have been enhanced in the Data management toolset:

FAA 13

The FAA 13 tool’s Input Runway parameter allows you to select a single runway.

FAA FAR 77

The FAA FAR 77 tool’s Input Runway and Input Runway End parameters allow you to create a full FAR 77 surface with multiple runways and multiple approach categories.

Generate Changeover Points

The Generate Changeover Points tool’s Input Route Portions Table allows you to specify the route portions that a changeover point can be associated with.

Licensing updates

Import AIXM 5.1 Message and Export AIXM 5.1 Message are both now supported with the ArcGIS Aviation Airports license.

Product files updates

The ArcGIS Aviation Airports product files now include the Esri Airport schema, which supports AMDB compliance.
