I have been using the sample code provided in the in the Silverlight Interactive Samples-> Toolkit-> MapTips.  I like the way the "State Info" ballon pops up and then by clicking on that i can get the features attributes.
However I have noticed that when i use this on large layers, the graphics, and therefore the 'maptips' do not work for all of the features.

Any help or alternative means to get the same output would be appreciated.

Thanks,
AGM

There is a built in default limit to the number of records returned by a query on a map layer, 500 for 9.3 and earlier increased to 1,000 at 10.0 (I believe). You can alter the limit by editing the services config file located under C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\server\user\cfg. From what you write I can not tell if this is the problem you are experiencing or not. Hope this helps.

Thank you, that helped.  I went in and changed the count to 100,000 from 500.  My largest feature class is about that size so I wanted to test things out.  Unfortunately the query graphics layer only works for up to 2,000 records, anything greater appears to freeze up the operation and the process never completes.  I have created a new thread stating my whole issue 'Query or Identify for large amount of services/ features' so hopefully that can generate some ideas.  Thanks again.

Try using FeatureLayer.QueryMode.OnDemand - that seemed to fix an issue for me with thousands of points and thousands of MapTips in a FeatureLayer
