Unable to upgrade esri arcgis

I'm using conda upgrade -c esri arcgis but python is not finding the new version. 

Could it be the channel_alias? I'll ship pastries to anyone who can solve this.

I just solved this by adding --no-pin

final code: conda upgrade -c esri arcgis --no-pin
