Get Item Usage Details

As an ArcGIS Online admin, I want to report on the usage of items over time, so that I can detect popular and stale content.

Currently, the API lets me get at the numViews of items.  I can see the item details in the UI lets me understand the usage over a time period.  Is there a way with the API to request:

• Average Requests Per Day  
• Requests/numViews in a period

Both would include a parameter for date range

e.g. Last 7 days

Is there a call like this that I can do via the REST api?
