SFV Shortcut Nav tools in Banner -- Anyone done the same in a NON-SFV app?

Hello all,

We have a couple of SFV applications in use but are finally starting to build simpler FLEX apps without all the overhead of SFV code now that we can sort of navigate around Flex.  heh heh.

We wanted to have something consistent between the non-SFV apps and the SFV apps.  So, I put the "Banner" in place (without menu items - looks only).  See attached photo of application in dev.

The other items I would like on the Banner would be the "SFV Shortcut navigation tools"  that are normally in the upper right corner of the banner in SFV.  Has anyone already done this and would share the code?  Thought I would ask forum first.  I thought I could just strip code from the SFV but it appears to be one of those things that is "easier said than done".

Thanks,
Carmen

Carmen,

This is a mini navigation bar for a non SFV app. You could take the code and put it in your banner component or just use it as is.

Robert,

Wonderful! I still have some tweaking to do (like cursors) but here is the site where it will be used.  I still can't seem to give you points, so all you get is a smiley face!

This site is still in development - Here, you can live 4-5 miles outside the City of Greenville but still have a "Greenville" address.  So, many people have no clue if they are truly in the city and eligible for City services.  That is the purpose of this app.  I used the ESRI "Place Histories" code as a starting point for this app - mostly just b/c I liked the design.

I would like the busy cursor to show until all map services appear when starting (another forum posting).  But everything I try, the busy cursor only appears very briefly if at all.  The busy cursor works fine while processing all the information related to the address.

By the way, at my presentation at SERUG, I mentioned you and how helpful you were on the forum.

Thanks again,
Carmen
