Hi all,

When I import the flexviewer 2 sourcecode into my Flexbuilder 3, I am unable to compile the code.
I am getting an "unable to open 'local/en_US' "error.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks
Jan

Hi Jan,

Unfortunately you can't use the Flexviewer 2 with Flexbuilder 3..
the Flexviewer 2.0 is based on the ArcGIS API for Flex 2.0, which is only compatible with the Flash Builder 4.x SDK..

see here for more details:
http://resources.arcgis.com/content/requirements-arcgis-api-flex

I'd recommend you get the Flash Builder 4 trial version, which you can use for 60 days. After that its only around $180 to get the full version.

Good Luck!

Jan,

I have to correct what Alexander said in his post you CAN use Flex Builder 3 with the FlexViewer2.0 source as long as you are using the AGS Flex 2.0 API and the Flex 4.0 SDK in your Flex Builder environment. Of course you will want to upgrade to Flash Builder 4 eventually to take advantage of of it's great features.

Ah, yes ofcourse.
I just tested with the standard SDK (3.5 I think) which was installed with my Flex Builder 3.
