How to generate polyline from the series of points

Hi,

I've a datatable with lat and long field that shows the ships location in real time.  What I like to do is to generate track line from the series of points.  If the ship doesn't move from 12 hours then I need to break that track line and restart the track as soon as ships starts to move.

Can someone tell me how can I do this?

The track lines can be created automatically by the ArcGIS API for Flex based on a set of features where features are grouped into tracks by track id.
