However, days ago we found that there is no 3D effect at all in ArcGlobe 10 (figure 1), when only our own DEM image services from MD used. Yes, if ESRI Elevation (90m/1km) combined does give us good 3D effect in globe document (figure 2).
But, if DEM sources in IMG or grid used, it does give us so in ArcGlobe 10 (figure 3). As a verification, our own DEM image service from MD does really give us very good one in ArcGlobe 9.3.1 (figure 4).
Reproducible in your side? (10 SP2 under 64-bit Vista)
Any advice?

Is there any way to keep the customized configurations in ArcGlobe document after published?
By the way, what kind of approaches is best to share 3D service to the customers? In fact, we prefer ArcGIS Explorer and web directly to support 3D globe services. Even though ESRI document tells us so, after tries, it looks different. In other word, it does have no indication showing 3D in ArcGIS Explorer 10. http://resources.arcgis.com/content/3dgis/10.0/share
