Hi:

I have Lidar data with .asc format.
ASCII to raster can convert my data to raster, is this raster DEM?

I was try to build a terrain then create a DTM, but the frist step I should convert my .asc to FeatureClass, However, the "ASCII3D to FeatureClass" only allow .xyz .xyzi and generat file formats.

what should I do ?

thanks lot and lot ,please help me!!

.asc is best used in autocadd. You can create a surface then export that surface out as a land xml and import it into gis. This is the cleanest way I have found.

Hi,
I know this is an old post, but if you are still working on it, can you send me a sample data at pyadav at esri.com. Or, reply to this post with a screenshot of a sample file showing the header information of the data.

Thanks

Hi I am also trying to build a terrain given a set of .ASC files. The ASCII3D to FeatureClass doesn't work in this case.

Would I need Data Interop or FME to create XYZ from ASC file first ?

Any suggestions ?
