Is there a way to automate topology fixes?  I have two layers with over 3,000 small errors for overlapping polygons.  For each error, I'd like to merge with the polygon that has the most recent year in an attribute. It seems like there should be a way you could automate topology fixes based on rules like this.

It really was my pleasure working with Cliff Sullivan and Mark Dickman at SACWD.  These two guys really knew how to make finding errors fun. With their positive attitudes and get-it-done mentality, they quickly gained a good grasp of using the data QC extension, ArcGIS Data Reviewer.   Look where their success got them featured – in the latest… (Show more)

My basic domain/subtype skills have faded - but I believe this should be possible. We have a web editing app for our Fire Department, that allows them to log inspection results for fire hydrants.  Very simple - enter the result, some notes, what Unit ID and what Station # they are from - these last 2 are selected via drop downs in the editing… (Show more)

Dear All: Is there a way in ArcScan automatically vectorize a polygon from a raster file? In the two tutorials online, one explained how to interactively vectorize. You can create both polylines and polygons by tracing raster cells. However, in the other tutorial, the automatic vectorization, only explain how to generate polylines. You can set a… (Show more)
