Hello! I just installed ArcGIS 10.4 and opened an existing MXD to discover that my NAD_1927_To_NAD_1983_Alaska transformation is not working. I saw someone else had a similar issue when I Googled the problem but they didn't seem to get an answer. Has anyone else had this issue and how do I fix it?
Users that I work with are having problems using ESRI's ArcOnline Basemaps (specifically World Imagery Basemap) because the load and redraw rates are very slow. I have had them switch to the same coordinate system as the basemap (WGS 1984 Web Mercator, Auxiliary Sphere) and this usually resolves the problem. Thanks, Ryan. This tip was very helpful. It's still not as fast as using WGS1984, but it is a big improvement and an easy adjustment for users to make. Most of our users have not switched to Pro yet, but I did notice that rendering is much faster in Pro (2.0) than in ArcMap, even when using Albers.
I came across this older thread because I was trying to figure out how to delete a basemap that I had sideloaded. It helped since I realized I hadn't found the "Manage" option (under the icon near the search window, that looks like a "file upload" button). Anyway, it does have the option to delete basemaps (if not being used), or the Map. PreviewHide preview
