There's nothing built into the API itself. However, ArcGIS as a whole has a concept of Global IDs, which you can create before publishing the service, and then Global IDs will be auto generated for each new feature added - Add Global IDs—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

If you want to do it yourself, then the Qt class you mention should do the trick.
