Flo - sadly this has never been a capability in ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro for that matter. You do have drag and drop capability of feature classes between geodatabases. Just not shapefile to geodatabase. For that, one must you a geoprocessing tool to convert the data formats. Not sure if this is on the radar of the developers to do this.
