Compatible Symbology between ArcGIS and ArcPad

Often Symbology set up in ArcGIS desktop is incompatible with ArcPad and will not display correctly, and in some circumstances will make ArcPad unstable or crash.
The geological font in ArcGIS has the smarts to be able to place the inclination value alongside the symbol on screen. In ArcPad the inclination number is usually placed miles away from the symbol.
Field data collection is now being undertaken on filed units that are as powerful as the desktop. How about giving ArcPad total compatibility with ArcGIS desktop symbology.
