When you open the map viewer, you get an English base map by default with a global coordinate system (WGS 1984 Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere). This blog explains how to add the Dutch base map to your portal.<\/P>
<\/P>
NOTE: <\/STRONG>If you requested your portal in 2019, the Dutch base map is included by default in the base maps gallery.<\/P><\/BLOCKQUOTE><\/P>Step 1 |<\/STRONG><\/SPAN> Go to Groups<\/STRONG><\/SPAN> in the menu and then click on Create group.<\/SPAN> <\/STRONG><\/P> <\/P>Step 2 |<\/STRONG><\/SPAN> Name the group Base maps<\/STRONG><\/SPAN>. Optionally fill in a summary and enter the name Base maps<\/STRONG><\/SPAN> under labels. Use the following settings:<\/P> <\/P>
<\/DIV><\/DIV> <\/P>Step 3 |<\/STRONG><\/SPAN> Now go to organization <\/STRONG><\/SPAN> in the menu and click on settings. <\/STRONG><\/SPAN> in the blue menu.<\/P> <\/P>Step 4 |<\/STRONG><\/SPAN> Click on the tab map<\/STRONG><\/SPAN> in the leftmost panel. Under change base map<\/STRONG><\/SPAN>, select the group you just created. Also add the standard Esri base maps by checking this option. Click on save<\/STRONG><\/SPAN>.<\/P><\/P>You will now look for the Dutch base map, this base map is called Topo RD. RD stands for Rijksdriehoeksstelsel and refers to this Dutch coordinate system. You can find the base map in the Living Atlas.<\/P><\/BLOCKQUOTE><\/P>Step 5 |<\/STRONG><\/SPAN> Go to Map.<\/STRONG><\/SPAN> Click on Add<\/SPAN> and then go to Search for map layer.<\/STRONG><\/SPAN><\/P> <\/P>Step 6 |<\/STRONG><\/SPAN> Click on the heading My Content<\/STRONG><\/SPAN> and then go to Living Atlas. <\/STRONG><\/SPAN> <\/SPAN>Enter in the search bar <\/SPAN>Topo RD<\/STRONG><\/SPAN>.< \/ STRONG > Click on < \/ SPAN >< SPAN style = " font - size : 18 px ; " >< STRONG > Topo RD (vector tiled) < \/ STRONG >< \/ SPAN >< SPAN style = " font - size :16 px ; " > and choose to < \/ SPAN >< SPAN style = " font - size :18 px ; " >< STRONG > use as base map< STRONG >.< \/ STRONG >< \/ STRONG >< \/ SPAN >< \/ P >< P >& nbsp ; < \/ P >< P >< SPAN style = " ; color : #428bc9 ; font - size :18 px ; " >< STRONG > Step 7 |< \/ STRONG >< \/ SPAN > Go to save and name the map < SPAN style = " font - size :18 px ; " >< STRONG > Topo RD. < \/ STRONG >< \/ SPAN >< SPAN style = " font - size :16 px ; " > Then go to < \/ SPAN >< SPAN style = " font - size :18 px ; " >< STRONG > share< \/ STRONG >< \/ SPAN >< SPAN style = " font - size :16 px ; " > and share the map with everyone< \/ SPAN >< SPAN style = " font - size :16 px ; " >.
