ArcGIS Online - What's New in September 2016

In mid-September, there was a new #ArcGIS Online release. Version 4.4 or September 2016 Release.<\/P>

It was a smaller release with some improvements and of course bug fixes. <\/P>

Enhanced Interoperability<\/H3>Esri is expanding support for Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc. (OGC) Services<\/A> further and continues to improve interoperability.<\/P>
The Map Viewer in ArcGIS Online includes additional options to add custom parameters to OGC Map Services (WMS) layers, OGC Web Map Tile Services (WMTS), and OGC Web Feature Service (WFS) requests.<\/P>
Furthermore, users can add individual layers of a WMS service to the map in the Map Viewer, not just the entire service.<\/P>

Apps<\/H3>More functionality, flexibility, and interconnectivity for the apps available in ArcGIS Online.<\/P>Using the new App button (now integrated into ArcGIS Online), you can start Esri Web Apps and linked pages directly from your own site, to which you have access through your organization.<\/P>Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS<\/A> allows editing related datasets ("related records"), performing local searches, and toggling filters on and off for the map. In the "Near Me" widget, content without results is removed. By adding a 3D surface extrusion effect, polygons can also be extruded, not just points or polylines.<\/P>
Collector for ArcGIS<\/A> supports GPS receivers with high accuracy and enables capturing and updating data using a location provider.
Additionally, Workforce for ArcGIS can be integrated into Collector for ArcGIS.<\/P>
Survey123 for ArcGIS<\/A> offers new possibilities in form-based data collection – including easier integration with other ArcGIS apps. EXIF metadata from photos taken with your own device is preserved. Reports can be output as PDFs and Smart Forms can be created in the browser.<\/P>
