Legal Descriptions to Polygons

Question

Does anyone know what happened to IcoMap (extension for converting scanned documents into vector features)? Or, is there anything out there that comes close to what it does? I haven't used it in 10 years and can't believe it's not readily available anymore. It was simply amazing and fast!

Checked that out and ArcScan only handles paper maps with line work - great program though. We do a lot of real estate transactions where the legal descriptions must be thoroughly scrutinized.

I'm talking about an OCR program that reads any format text document, recognizes and extracts the bearing/distance/curve values, writes the calls to a table, and opens a dialogue window displaying the values within the editor environment. Then (in my case) select a POB from a PLS point layer and click the successive traverse lines from the dialogue table until closure. Really simple and easy to use, rather than 20 mins to setup and COGO a simple parcel or days to draw out a subdivision, this reduced the same type tasks to a few minutes or a few hours respectively. I'm really surprised that this is not a readily available tool within ArcGIS.
