Esri-leaflet VS Leaflet

Hi everyone,

I've already worked with Leaflet and I liked it so much, but this time I need to work with the arcGIS server I tried firstly working with its API for JavaScript but I found it complicated so I searched and found the esri-leaflet,

wondering about the differences between it and the Leaflet that I used to work with ? Is it like the normal Leaflet but adding the ability to work with featureLayers from the arcgis server OR a less featured version than Leaflet ? 

I have an app that I worked with Leaflet, How to migrate it to esri-leaflet ?
