Best practices for using custom images as symbols in AGOL?

Hello GeoNet!

Does anyone have any best practices for using custom images as symbols in ArcGIS Online? I keep the images at 120x120 px but there seems to be quality issues when viewing the images in a map. They come in clean, but maybe I am just being picky with wanted them to look really crisp. I've read the great article by Bern Szukalski‌ but maybe my images/logos are too graphically intense?
