LiDAR & 3D Analyst to Model M&R Station

Is it possible to utilize 3D Analyst to import LiDAR data for the purposes of modeling a Metering and Regulating station in a gas distribution system? I did some searching and could not find any documentation for this application of the software. This is something we are interested in pursuing. Thanks.
