ArcGIS Viewer for Flex keeps popping up??

Question

I keep getting a tab on the Taskbar that says ArcGIS Viewer for...  when I click on it no window opens up, and it usually disappears after a few seconds.  Just keeps popping up throughout the day.

Any ideas on what could be causing it, or how to stop it?

I agree with Robert, if you aren't using it, uninstall it.  But I am realizing on my machine I'm starting to have a lot of shortcut icons that look the same, and accidentally opened  my ArcGIS Viewer for Flex

when I meant to open ArcMap

I had both pinned on my task bar, but upgraded from ArcGIS from 10.3 to 10.3.1 on this machine, which removed the ArcMap/Catalog shortcuts.  Silly me clicked on the "other earth" that there and was close to where my other icon used to be pinned.  Thus, the flex builder popped up.  Took only once for me to remember to re-pin my shortcut to the task bar.

May not be your situation, but worth mentioned for others like me that click by habit.

Ross,

Do you have Application Builder (ArcGIS Viewer for Flex) installed on your machine? Do you use it at all? If not uninstall it from Control Panel > Programs and Features.

I have never seen this issue before in all my years of working with the ArcGIS Viewer for Flex.
