Smooth a raster layer

Question

G'day,
I have a raster layer with corn residues (left on the soil surface after harvesting) and I would like to smooth this layer in order to have something that comes close to reality. By this I mean a surface of the soil without residues. I tried with differents tools from spatial analyst withoud succes. Is there a way to do that?

That is why I was asking... so if the corn stubble is contributing to the 'elevation' values, then filtering as slynch-esristaff suggested would be the way to go.  If it was just an image then finding out what the value of the stubble was and reclassifying would be the other option.  In any event, you don't want to fool around too much since you want to retain the terrain characteristics and get rid of the contributing stubble.

Dan  it's an image of a corn field after haverst with on top of elevation data many résidues.

And I would like to obtain elevation data values without residues at the top.

Try to use Bilinear Interpolation  Resample method

as in the picture: layer (raster ) properties
