Server explorer

Question

I am creating an application in WPF that needs a window to explore the services/layers in a server. The client will provide the URl and I'd like to display the services in a grid or tree view so the clients can choose what they want on the map. I found this post with a similar problem:

It points there to some examples that don't think exist anymore. Any ideas where I can find them? Either that or any other example would be helpful. I'm new to ESRi development and don't know all the library. 
Also, I have not found any control that do this, so I guess they don't exist; but if they do, please, let me know.

Looks like the user didn't move his sample from the old gallery to the new one.

I attached the Silverlight version I kept on my disk since the discussion you pointed out.

Though ,it's a very old version that would need major enhancements but it might help as starting point.
